Carly Hoover, Graduate Intern

Taking the first step into therapy can be a big decision, and I understand the courage it takes to begin that journey. Life can be challenging, and relationships naturally change and evolve over time. I believe meaningful change begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and compassion. My goal is to meet each client where they are, recognizing that every individual, couple, and family has a unique story and path toward healing.

While the world can often feel overwhelming, demanding, and judgmental, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and accepting environment where clients can openly explore their experiences, gain insight, and move toward transformative growth.

I have a deep passion for working with couples, particularly those navigating infertility, high-risk pregnancies, pregnancy and infant loss, and the emotional and relational challenges that often accompany these experiences. Having personally walked through these challenges myself, I understand how isolating and overwhelming they can feel. These experiences have deepened my empathy and fuel my desire to help individuals and couples find hope, connection, and resilience during difficult seasons of life.

As a graduate intern, I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect, honoring the individuality of each client while helping them cultivate hope, healing, and stronger relationships.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my three children, family, and friends, reading, and hiking. Originally from San Diego, I am also a huge beach lover.

Wherever you are in your journey, I look forward to supporting you as you discover your strengths, work toward healing and personal growth, and pursue the goals that matter most to you.
