After 15 years as a Christian minister with the last 4 being on a Native American Reservation, I am now responding to a lifelong call to counseling. I love walking with people as they strive to learn about themselves and their circumstances. As a counselor in training, I expect to combine my 15 years of Christian ministry experience with my education in clinical mental health counseling to help you grow, learn, heal, and thrive.
Everyone has their own unique story and I believe that a safe environment free from judgement can offer the hope and grace we are all looking for. Hope is a powerful thing and it does not disappoint. My clinical approach is based on person-centered therapy, emotionally focused therapy, narrative therapy, family systems as well as attachment theory. I consider the experience of opening up to another person to be holy ground, and I will always treat your story with the greatest reverence and respect. My experience includes, but is not limited to helping with men’s issues, relationships, religious abuse, and trauma.
I am currently completing my internship hours to earn a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University after having completing all the academic coursework. I previously earned a Masters in Divinity at The Catholic University of America in and an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002.
