At times, we may wish life came with a set of clear instructions; instructions to navigate relationships, instructions to navigate difficult seasons of life, or the struggles we find ourselves facing. Sometimes we realize that the tools we that worked in the past aren’t quite getting the job done anymore.
Thankfully, we can gain insight into what is and what isn’t working for us. We can learn to use new tools.
I’m currently completing my internship in the master of science in marriage and family therapy program at Fuller Theological Seminary. I worked in a social work capacity for an outpatient mental health clinic after graduating from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor degree in behavioral health science. I have realized several things through my experience working with people from all walks and seasons of life – we are all doing our best to navigate life. Life can be tough, and we tend to be our own harshest critics. I have also realized that we all deserve space to be vulnerable, to be seen, and to be validated.
Our traumas do not define us and we don’t have to let our past dictate our future. We don’t have to repeat the patterns learned in our families. There is hope even when it feels hopeless. There is hope.
I would be honored to work with you to help you reach the goals you have set for yourself and for your relationships.
